My friend Gerry Carlson sent me the links to this two-part article on youth ministry by Rob Shelton entitled “Have We Been Duped?” I think some of my readers will find them very compelling reading- I know I did. I’ve selected some quotes below to whet your appetite.
Part One
Part Two
We should be wary of using [...]
I’ve had the opportunity of late to be reviewing back issues of the Faith Pulpit. A quote from Dr. Robert Delnay in this December 1987 article entitled “The Evangelical Drift” held my attention long enough that I thought you might also find it compelling:
A Relaxed Ethic.
As fundamentalists we might as well admit that our ethics [...]
Jennifer and I regularly listen to the Albert Mohler Program on our computers or in the car on an MP3 player. I guess we didn’t realize how frequently we listen until today. My wife was driving around town, and happened to notice a car with a Florida license plate, which she pointed out to our [...]
An interesting quote provided in the DallasNews Religion Blog from an interview with Mark Yaconelli, author of Contemplative Youth Ministry:

Faith Baptist Bible College has a helpful 2 part series by Dr. Myron Houghton on the Rapture. Reference the sermons on February 19 and 28, 2007. FWIW, When I was at Central this summer, Kevin Bauder noted in class that he believed Myron was one of the brightest theological minds alive today in Evangelicalism or [...]
When I saw this, I had to stop and snap…
This rendition of BWV 1043 by Andrew Manze, Rachel Podger, and The English Concert is a delight to behold. I particularly enjoyed seeing the evident pleasure performing the music brought to Manze and Podger in the third movement.
Enjoy!
I. Vivace
II. Largo ma non tanto
III. Allegro
My town of Skowhegan, Maine made national radio today. You can listen to or read the story here. It gives a bit of perspective on how people around here are struggling.
