“Every Christian Should Sing”- A Message by Paul Jones

Kudos to my alma mater Faith Baptist Bible College for having in Paul Jones for their Fall Artist Series and to speak on the topic of music. Paul Jones is Minister of Music at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia and author of Singing and Making Music, one of the best recently written resources on the topic I have read.

He was really good. The best thing was on Friday night, they held a Hymn Festival. Dr. Jones was at the organ, front and center, playing and directing the congregation (behind him) the Chorale (in front of him) and the brass ensemble (to his left). With Dr. Paul reading the Nicene Creed (if I remember) and making necessary corrections to make it more baptist and less presbyterian and thanking Dr. Jones for letting him do so. It was a great time.
I love FBBC! My wife and I visited the campus last year. What a wonderful college, providing a beautiful witness to the grace of God. Just look at one of their alums…Blessings to you and your family, Mr Linscott. Continued blessings on FBBC.
