Who’s on Trial?

This superficial generation in judging the old faith passes judgment on itself. A young man came out of an art gallery fairly snorting that he had seen nothing worth looking at.

“If you please, sir,” the old doorkeeper calmly returned, “the pictures are no longer on trial, but the spectators are.”
